Position Summary
Key Objectives:
Responsible for developing the regional sales strategy for Samsung’s online pure player channels and execute/manage it. This Director works closely with Sales & Product Heads in MENA subsidiaries and branches to create, manage, and monitor the sales and development of collaboration in country-level.
Role and Responsibilities

Position Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing the regional sales strategy for Samsung’s pure player MENA online channels (Amazon, Noon, Hepsi, etc) and execute/manage it. Works closely with eCommerce, Sales & Product Managers in MENA subsidiaries and branches to create, manage, and monitor the sales and development of collaboration in country-level.
  • Develop long term and short term strategy for MENA business in line with HQ business direction, giving a guidance to the branches within MENA region
  • Develop yearly product line-up strategy and positioning in line with product divisions, HQ direction, while providing guidance to each local branch
  • Identify opportunities to grow the pure player online business and build solid strategy together with local branches
  • Strengthen close relationship with Pure player ecommerce and product teams within MENA region to expand Samsung’s online presence, winning together in the channel.
  • Maintain good communication and develop strong working relationships with other Heads of Departments with an aim to achieve objectives
  • Maintain a proactive approach to strategy execution and consistently communicate vertically and cross-functionally to ensure alignment of internal priorities and resources are allocated appropriately to achieve desired results
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, GTM plans, and other projections as required
  • Liase, review and lead regional JBPs for local subsidiaries driving win-win-win action plan
  • Analyze sales records and trends in relation to objectives and competitive activities
  • Maintain consistent interaction with top internal stakeholders and a close link with Samsung Electronics Online Community, a global HQ based dedicated unit
  • To enable delivery against current and future requirements and targets for sales, transactions, revenues, contribution margin and customer satisfaction in line with the company strategy
  • To lead and develop his/her team ensuring that we have the right people, motivated and engaged to deliver our business goals
  • Continually refine and optimise the customer experience through to purchase, to improve conversion rates

Ensure that online shopping complies with local and regional legislative obligations when it comes to customer communication in the customer journey process
Skills and Qualifications
Essential skills, experience and qualifications (Experience, Education, Licensure & language skills):

The role requires excellent business acumen and good stakeholder management as well as technical skills and experience in data analysis, defining trends and generating insights.

  • Fluent English
  • University Degree, most likely Economics, Finance or Business Administration
  • Minimum 12+ years of sound working knowledge and experience of ecommerce activities and digital activities and all online marketing channels with top multi-sector online retailers or established online arms @ top consumer brands
  • Capable of working in a matrix organization and able to build strong relationships both internally and externally, consultative mindset
  • Sales experience in online and strong track record in delivering strong growth through joint business plans
  • Solid experience in managing online market place and cross channel price/offer conflict
  • Change Management and previous exposure to transformation projects
  • A strong track-record of managing and developing a team
  • Strategically astute, with a proven track record in the delivery of challenging business results
  • A competent decision-maker with the ability to develop, own, and execute a strategic plan
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Articulates strategic plans and anticipates unpredictability
  • Recognizes the need to adapt to change and implement appropriate solutions
  • Able to identify opportunities and recommend/influence for change to increase effectiveness and success
