The Partnership Consulting / Strategy Director supports Google’s Sports Lab team, which operates as the Center of Excellence for sports partnerships within Google Marketing. The role is critical to delivering ongoing strategic consultation to the Google Sports Lab team through partnership opportunity identification, evaluation, valuation, and negotiation, allowing Google to remain at the forefront of sports, technology, and fan innovation.
This role will focus primarily on supporting GMR and Optimum Sports’ bespoke agency’s Partnership Strategy Lead with cross-functional / cross-agency organization and collaboration based on client deliverables.

REQUIRED SKILLS
- Global and/or National Sports Partnerships experience. You have a deep understanding of the global and domestic sports industry and will collaborate with sports properties and media partners to develop integrated content strategies.
- Strategic Consulting. You will consult on industry best practices across the global sporting landscape as they relate to developing strategic sports marketing partnerships, sports marketplace insights, and evaluating and analyzing new opportunities from sports and media vendors as they relate to Google Sports Lab activation.
- Partnership Landscape Opportunity Assessment and Valuation. You will collaborate on the strategic development of marketing partnerships and partner evaluations. You will also provide a point of view and valuation of the partnership offering and help determine appropriate asset mix and investment thresholds within sponsorship and media proposals.
- Client Relations. You have strong relationship-building skills and can manage multiple client contacts and projects simultaneously.
- Leadership. You have experience managing teams, including junior staff, vendors, agency peers, internal teams and/or clients, and onsite staffing.
