Responsibilities:
The Director, Population Health Research & Epidemiology will focus on population health impact at a local, state-wide, national and global level. Research will be aligned with the South Western Sydney Local Health District Strategic Plan: 2022-2027 and the Keeping People Healthy: SWSLHD Prevention Strategy to 2028.
The Director, Population Health Research & Epidemiology is responsible for leading Population Health research and providing decision making, advice and support to the Director, Population Health, SWSLHD. The position is responsible for implementing an evidence based approach that leads practice change and development across SWS. The position provides leadership to population health researchers in SWS and identifies research priorities.
As part of the Population Health leadership team at SWSLHD you will bring vision and clarity to your role, be a great communicator, self directed, with an ability to inspire, motivate and support people to reach their full potential. This position will support the SWSLHD Strategic Plan and Keeping People Healthy SWSLHD Prevention Plan to 2028 as well as relevant service operational or strategic plans.
This position will work alongside a passionate team of population health practitioners and researchers in the population health services and relevant clinicians and pursue a research program and supervise postgraduate students.
