Summary of the Role:

  • This pre-sales role supports Numerix Business Development and Partnership team across APAC with a focus on SEA.
  • In this role, you will play an essential part in collaborating with our Business Development Director to drive partner-enabled revenue growth.
  • The role involves business development activities as well as core involvement supporting the sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure, pipeline development and focusing on the successful growth of Numerix’s Pricing and Risk solutions via partners ecosystem.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The role specifically covers the SEA region and brings together the following skill sets and duties:

  • Identify and explore new partnership and new business opportunities via partnerships for Numerix’s core solutions within capital market trading and risk management space, with a special focus on derivatives analytics.
  • Understand partners’ business case assessment, be able to lead gaps finding, targeted solution scripting and aligning Numerix offering to the targeted deliverable with solution partners.
  • Develop solution prototypes by utilizing Numerix products to address partners requirements across different product types, asset classes and use cases (capital market front to risk ).
  • Respond to RFIs/RFPs, conduct scoping exercises, engage in prototypes/proofs of concept, and deliver final presentations of work products.
  • Technical documentations for user requirement, gap analysis, scoping and resources planning in corresponding statement of works.
  • Collaborate as a liaison between customers and internal teams (Sales, Professional Service, engineering, and Product management) to ensure optimal solution proposal and delivery.
  • Provide timely feedback to Numerix Product Management of trends or consistent requests from prospects that will drive product innovation and new or enhanced functionality.
  • Travel across the SEA region is required.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding, domain knowledge and experience of capital market in particular derivatives, quantitative analytics and risk management, preferably gained from banking, insurance, asset/investment management/advisory or other financial institutions, or capital market technologies firms.
  • Significant practical experience and excellent achievements gained through technical pre-sales, consulting / professional services or product management roles in capital market technology space is a major plus.
  • An excellent understanding of current trends and technologies in the field of capital market Risk management is essential.
  • Advanced familiarity with capital market regulation and regulatory solutions is a very strong benefit.
  • Strong capability to research, distil, present and discuss complex requirements and solution components with external partners, customers as well as internal teams;
  • familiarity with sales cycles and processes, from initial discovery to cross-selling and upselling, Experience within the context of consultative selling is a very strong benefit.
  • Fluent English is essential. Additional Asian languages are a strong benefit.
  • Quick learner and self-starter. Be able to manage pressures and handle objections, comfortable with agile and dynamic work environment.
  • Experience in client facing roles is preferred.

Education:

  • MBA, MA, MSc, or similar Masters-level degree of high quality is a very strong benefit. Academic background from technical disciplines such as finance, mathematics or IT disciplines is required.
  • Training through courses in Finance, Project Management and Sales is a strong benefit.
