As a Director of Product at Benevity, you will lead the strategic vision and management of our financial product lines, driving the development of innovative solutions that enhance our invoicing and global disbursements solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and clients to identify market opportunities, define product strategies, and ensure product-market fit.
As leader of leaders, you’ll combine the ability to coach, motivate, and inspire cross-functional teams. You’ll work directly with internal stakeholders globally to turn ambitious roadmaps into achievable plans and to provide project management to ensure that we deliver.

What You Will Do

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing product management team, fostering a collaborative culture, setting expectations, providing ongoing coaching, and empowering team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Mentor team members on feature specification and identify opportunities for improvement. Assess and optimize the team’s specification process for efficiency.
  • Proactively identify unmet needs for the team, such as specific skills, and champion solutions.
  • Foster a quality-first culture and ensure high-quality product delivery.
  • Develop your team’s data fluency and equip them for data-driven decision making.
  • Instill strong user research skills in your team.
  • Foster a design-centric culture and optimize collaboration between PMs and designers.
  • Develop career development plans for direct reports, focusing on skill building and career growth within and outside the team.

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Make critical trade-off decisions between projects to maximize value delivered.
  • Identify creative ways to improve team efficiency and deliver projects more effectively.
  • Utilize data to set, communicate goals, uncover opportunities, and build investment cases.
  • Conduct client & user research to inform product roadmaps, assess impact, and guide product iteration for maximum customer value.
  • Define clear team focus, investment narratives, and expected outcomes for the company.
  • Contribute strategically at the company level and articulate the value of team investments.
  • Proactively manage relationships with stakeholders, minimize surprises, and build broad support for team projects.
  • Collaborate with other product teams to understand requirements and incorporate them into our planning
  • Work with Engineering to build/transform the next version of our financial disbursements engine
  • Represent Benevity in Client meetings, helping to communicate our vision through our Product Development LifeCycle (PDLC)

Results-Orientation:

  • Be responsible for team outcomes and proactively adjust strategy, roadmap, and processes for optimal performance.
  • Identify diminishing returns potential and plan for strategic resource allocation shifts.
  • Drive prioritization and resourcing for the company, even when it requires adjustments to your team’s initiatives.
  • Ensure team progress and outcomes have high visibility at the executive level.

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of progressive product management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • 5+ years of experience in in a SaaS FinTech environment with direct experience shaping and leading a product vision and execution of a financial platform, engine and/or payment platform with global reach
  • Experience with compliance and regulatory requirements in building SaaS products in the financial services and FinTech space
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to think outside the box.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or similar discipline; MBA a plus.
