ABOUT YOU: EXPERIENCED LEADER WITH EXTENSIVE FOOD EXPERIENCE

You hold a relevant master’s degree in food science as a veterinarian, MSc Environmental Engineering, or similar. You bring min. 10 years’ experience from the food industry and +5 years of management experience.
Knowledge of health and safety as well as environmental and food safety standards is essential. However, in-depth knowledge is not required.

In addition, the following points characterize you as a professional:

  • You can inspire, motivate, and lead a QEHS organization of managers, specialists, and production employees
  • You communicate clearly and efficiently across all organizational levels
  • You find it easy to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners, and you work well in interdisciplinary teams
  • You are a strategic thinker and can facilitate and drive strategy processes
  • You master change management, including the ability to navigate and lead the organization through changes in the QEHS area
  • You are fluent in Danish and English – speaking and writing
  • You are fluent in the Microsoft Office package as well as relevant QEHS platforms

Responsibilities:

In this pivotal role, you will have the unique chance to integrate Quality and Health, Safety, and Environment (EHS) into a seamless, synergistic unit. You will ensure a unified approach to the QEHS work by improving communication and collaboration organization wide.
You will have overall responsibility for QEHS Fresh Sites Denmark, where you initiate and run adaptation and improvement projects, supporting both QEHS and business objectives.

The most important responsibilities include:

  • Coach and support local QEHS managers in meeting their objectives
  • Act as cultural ambassador for Danish Crown’s values, including being the link between headquarters and local units, ensuring efficient communication and productive cooperation
  • Develop a holistic approach to quality and risk management
  • Ensure that organizations at the factories can support both production and relevant external stakeholders
  • Helping ‘sites’ keep the focus on value creation through updated procedures
  • Establish and follow up on the budget and QEHS KPIs for Fresh Sites DK
  • Implement strategies for both Danish Crown and QEHS in tactical and operational initiatives

There will be both internal stakeholders (e.g. management representatives within sales, production, purchasing, and IT) and external stakeholders (e.g. relevant authorities, customers, suppliers, and universities).
You will be part of QEHS’s management team, and your direct reference will be Senior VP QEHS.
To accommodate presence and visibility due to the decentralized structure of the QEHS organization some travel activity is expected with approx. 50 annual travel days, but this may vary. Hence you will uphold a fair amount of long-distance management for the organization.
