We are currently seeking a Director, QIS Structuring to join the team in London
Responsibilities include:

Product development:

  • Indicative and Live Pricing of structured transactions.
  • Development of new QIS strategies/products.
  • Preparing pitch-books to push products on proprietary indices.
  • Generate thematic ideas based on market conditions.
  • Assessing clients’ needs and creating customised solutions, with the help of sales and onshore structuring teams.
  • Leverage HSBC Research products, industry insights and/or academic publications to develop new client focused solutions .

Platform development:

  • Working with Traders and Quants to develop and improve the functionality and scope of existing back-testing infrastructure to improve scalability and modularity.
  • Support digitalisation/automation projects aimed at streamlining the business, as required.
  • Develop and improve the functionality and scope of existing QIS infrastructure.
  • Reporting analytics for business insight and support.
  • Support improvement of data architecture for QIS business and the onboarding of new data providers.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with Financial Markets and knowledge of derivatives products.
  • Strong quantitative and technological skill-set, with a preference for advanced academic qualifications in technical/STEM subjects .
  • Good overview on regulation and accounting, including upcoming changes which impact the industry.
  • Good understanding of different client business models.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with very strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and to work well under pressure, strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

The location for this role is London.
