JOB SUMMARY
Provide hands-on Leadership and direction for Enterprise Quality Engineering organization. Champion Quality Engineering (QE) principles of shift-left, customer-centricity, automation, and continual improvement to advance product development. Drive the creation and adoption of automated testing to facilitate innovation, quality, and speed to market. Partners with vendor and internal Marriott teams to provide leadership, strategy, and orchestration of key testing events to ensure that quality standards are consistently met. Provides expert guidance on test environment strategy, setup, and configuration. Coordinates with product teams and other Software Development Engineers in Test (SDET’s) to collect KPIs and metrics in-line with QE guidelines. Collaborates with platform teams to ensure tools required for testing conform to standards and help implement new solutions as required. Work with product teams to ensure integration / end-to-end test cases are identified and maintained. Serves as advocate / representative for selected business units to the QE organization.
Expected deliverables to include: Design and build of QE Frameworks, Technical solutions, Quality Engineering Strategies, Test Strategies, Test Implementation Plans, Jira Initiatives, Epics and User Stories, presentations to Senior Management, and Marriott internal deliverables including Associate Performance Management materials.

- Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Demonstrated ability to assess customer/client needs, creatively approach solutions, and influence appropriate courses of action
- Strong attention to detail with an ability to operate effectively across multiple priorities
- Strong knowledge of emerging tools, software, applications, and systems for attaining best-in-class IT technology across the enterprise
- Graduate degree
- Technical certifications (i.e., PMP, CSTE, CSQA, Certified SAFe)
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to the QE teams.
- Design and build new generation testing frameworks for enterprise grade distributed applications.
- Develop Quality Engineering strategies and standards, including KPI’s and Metrics for regression and performance testing for development teams.
- Evaluate and provide recommendations on different tools and technologies for frontend, middleware, and backend applications.
- Educate Product teams on QE best practices and assist them in their adoption.
- Coach product teams in implementing QA and QE practices in a SAFe Agile environment.
- Evaluate current QA or QE process in Product teams and drive them to conform with established standards.
- Work with Product teams to ensure integration/end-to-end test cases are identified and maintained.
- Devise QE solutions for CI/CD pipelines in public cloud or hybrid infrastructures.
- Understand application architectures and recommend solutions for end-to-end testing.
- Engage with other QE staff to deliver high quality testing solutions across the organization.
- Assist in the evaluation of QE-related vendors.
- Collaborate with QE tools architects/engineers to resolve issues and recommend improvements.
- Conduct POC projects on emerging QE technologies and drive them towards adoption in the organization.
- Mentor QE staff and assist in developing curriculum for staff upskilling
