Job Description

SUMMARY

As the Director of Rooms at Delano Dubai, you will lead the entire Rooms team, comprising Front Office, Guest Experience, Guest Services, and Housekeeping. Integral to the hotel’s senior leadership team, you’ll contribute to key strategic and operational decisions. Your role encompasses overseeing departmental strategies, ensuring brand service execution, and driving brand initiatives forward. Your focus will be on managing Rooms Division requirements meticulously, enforcing service standard procedures, and motivating staff to deliver exceptional service consistently. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for Rooms revenue & profitability, competitive revpar index, guest satisfaction, brand consistency, and employee engagement. Managing outsourced labor related to other divisions (Valets, Limousine company) will also fall under your purview.

EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATES/EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of international leadership experience in large-scale Rooms operations in a luxury hotel environment, acquired from working in key cities/resort destinations globally.
  • Previous working experience in a truly global work environment is essential.
  • Solid business/financial acumen with a good understanding of luxury hotel operations.
  • Act as a role model in delivering elegant and understated service with sophistication.
  • Exemplary service delivery and leadership.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities to build strong employee engagement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communicator with fluency in English.
  • Proven organizational skills, able to set and meet deadlines with quality results.
  • Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting, expenses, and payroll control.
  • Executive presence – self-assured exuding quiet confidence and humility.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent financial management abilities.
