Description:

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization

  • To support set up and implementation of sport category and channel specific strategies in Europe for the assigned Sport categories.
  • To develop and drive relationships for European wholesale sport performance business (key account teams, BUs, Sales development, etc.)
  • To ensure profitable market share and net sales growth in the Sport Performance channel while respecting the image of the brand through international initiatives

Key Responsibilities

Functional

  • Support the development and implementation of a European Sport Performance/Specialty strategy and Sport Channel strategy for the assigned categories.
  • Develop a European Specialist account strategy per category and deliver consistent market execution of global plans and collections
  • Establish professional and personal relations to main stakeholders (account teams, BUs, Sales directors, etc.)
  • Unleash commercial potential-seasonal category and MRA strategy
  • Translate Global and Market/BU strategies into functional strategies for the sales team
  • Improve European NPS via driving qualitative business growth and enhancing consumer experience at FMOT (First Moment of Truth)/POS
  • Constantly identify and drive new business opportunities in all categories, marketplaces, and strategic accounts to gain market shares.
  • Collaborate close with the Europe BUs and Account teams for European Sport Performance Business in Sales
  • Collaborate effectively with the product teams to ensure the most relevant products are available in line with segmentation guidelines for potential customer needs
  • Drive new business opportunities

Personnel

  • To staff most suitable persons in direct report positions in alignment with HR
  • To create a high performing team that drives itself and the team towards success
  • To set personal objectives, targets, guidelines and assess all reports
  • To develop the functional and social skills of direct reports on and off the job
  • To manage all reports as an integrated team by setting team objectives, targets and guidelines
  • To ensure smooth cooperation of all direct reports as one team, internally and externally

  • To measure progress on own KPIs
  • To report to all superiors

  • Very good functional skills (e.g. Sales, , Marketing Finance)
  • High degree of commercial and business acumen knowledge and understanding of the end to end Sales processes
  • Experience in both market and above market organization is an added benefit
  • Mental flexibility, initiative and determination
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. Skills and abilities in other languages are beneficial

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in business administration with focus on Sales/Marketing
  • Business: min of 5-8 years
  • Functional: min of 5-8 years in the sporting goods industry
  • Cross functional experience ideally with marketing / sales / finance / operations
  • Industry: sporting goods / retail / consumer goods
