The Director, Software Engineering will lead the team building mobile and edge for Couchbase.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with building resilient and robust solutions on mobile and embedded devices
  • Ability to operate at all levels and dive deep into business, operations and engineering details
  • Experience solving distributed systems problems,
  • Experience working on solutions that require data replication, XDCR , and high availability systems
  • Experience managing engineering teams for 10 years
  • Experience working with cross functional teams to deliver products

Responsibilities:

  • Develop team’s long term vision, strategy and translate that into an achievable road map/action plan
  • Build effective mechanisms to improve continuously improve delivery mechanisms
  • Manage a geo distributed team involving different time zones
  • Hire, retain, and manage the best high performance team
  • Effective Cross Team and Cross functional communication in prioritizing the roadmap
