About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Strategic Planning to join our international team. This pivotal role will be instrumental in driving our strategic planning processes and report directly to the Chief Strategy Officer.
On 1 January 2024, Sinch transitioned from a structure based in independent business units to a more integrated operating model. We operate in an industry characterized by rapid technological change and have an active M&A agenda. Against this background, strategic planning is a highly cross-functional activity and a critical enabler to position the business for continued success in the marketplace.
The role is based at Sinch HQ in Stockholm.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the annual strategic planning process, ensuring alignment with Sinch’s overall long-term strategy and the budgeting process managed by Finance.
  • Engage directly with senior management to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Interface with a broad set of internal and external stakeholders, including Product, regional Go To Market organizations, Corporate Development, Transformation Office, and more.
  • Create presentation materials that succinctly introduce strategic topics, potential outcomes, their financial implications, and the relevant strategic choices at hand.
  • Collaborate within cross-functional teams to ensure strategic initiatives are aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Conduct ongoing monitoring and analysis of competitors and maintain an informed perspective on the company’s market environment.
    About You

To be successful in this role you have substantial experience in managing strategic planning within an international business context and will likely have a background in management consulting or a similar strategic role. You are used to working both at a strategic level but also enjoy being very hands-on and operational. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior management and diverse stakeholders. You have the ability to lead processes and deliver outcomes though cross-functional collaboration and an ability to leverage resources that are not directly reporting to Strategy.

  • Proven experience in running strategic planning processes within an international business environment.
  • Several years of experience in management consulting or a similar strategic role.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to create well-crafted presentation materials that break down complex subject matters and make it easily accessible to different stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English is required
