Description:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or advanced degree in a related field preferred
  • Experience: 10+ years; pharmaceutical industry or relative experience preferred; contracting/rebating experience preferred
  • Demonstrated high level of expertise of contracting systems (e.g. Flex) including implementation project management
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contracting and the customer markets; demonstrated knowledge of organized customers, including Health Plans, GPOs, IDNs and Wholesalers
  • Change agile and able to lead teams through organizational and marketplace changes
  • Ability to design and implement payment process for new lines of business and new strategies
  • Ability to work with senior leaders and other cross-functional groups in a collaborative team environment to build consensus
  • Continuous Process Improvement mindset
  • Strong analytical skills
  • General knowledge of financial processes/controls

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Role requires compliance with Pfizer Log in For Your Day Flexible and Remote Work Arrangement Policy (e.g. Average 2.5 days in office) The office is also an open space concept without any assigned seating arrangements.
  • Limited travel (Couple of times a year) to another Pfizer location
  • Once a year conference related to the Flex system / Model N
  • Potential visit to a customer

Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Director/Team Leader of Rebate Administration has oversight responsibility for all facets of the contract rebate/admin fee payment process and the corresponding contract compliance, specifically for U.S. based healthcare market access customers currently. Some examples of these customers include GPOs, IDNs, PBGs, and Wholesalers. This area currently has focus on provider customers across the Sterile Injectables, IVIG, and Biosimilar Products.
The Director/Team Leader is responsible for ensuring the technology and systems will support the goals and objectives of the team and the stakeholders. Examples include the Model N Flex system, Tableau, and Business Objects.
The Director / Team Leader is expected to have general understanding of the various proposed strategies to support collaboration efforts with key stakeholders.
The Director/Team Leader manages 4-8 direct reports and works closely with Account Management, Pfizer Digital, Contracting teams, Contract Strategy, Finance, as well as external customers.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead all facets of the operations related to contract rebate administration processing, contract compliance, and customer reporting in accordance with the terms and conditions of the customer agreement.
  • Lead efforts on internal reporting requirements to support the payment details and / or payment analysis required for ASL approvals and customer performance for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with contract teams (Strategy, Development, and Management) where applicable, to ensure new contract strategies and Bold Move initiatives are designed and executed so that they can be administered effectively and efficiently
  • Ensure that all policies, procedures, and processes are adhered to by the Rebate Administration Team in order to protect the assets of Pfizer and in accordance corresponding controls.
  • Partner with Pfizer Digital and Model N to ensure the strategic roadmap for long term system functionality and enhancements.
  • Provide necessary systems and operational support to ensure that the Flex system operates efficiently; lead system implementations and upgrades including upcoming Apollo Cloud migration. ensure appropriate UAT is being conducted
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure sufficient information is available for finance accruals and downstream flow of Flex rebate payment data.
  • Anticipate and address key issues and opportunities, understand potential changes in legislation, strategies, systems, processes, which will impact rebate administration
  • Instill and support a Continuous Improvement mindset within the team, including use of the PLUS model; Identify opportunities to improve team and department processes, reporting, controls, and payment analysis.
