Welcome to Test & Analysis
At our HQ in Humlebæk, Denmark, you will join and get to lead our highly competent Test & Analysis team. Here, 4 Team Managers and around 50 employees mainly laboratory technicians work with securing the laboratory set-up and processes, the equipment qualification and maintenance as well as the execution of tests in relation to materials, mechanical features, and pre-clinical testing, including microbial, chemical, and in-vitro model testing. As the Environment, Health and Safety is an integrated part of our way of working, you will be the overall responsible for this area too.
Test & Analysis is an integral part of Test & Characterisation organization within R&D. In Test & Charaterisation, all R&D test capabilities are gathered, and we set the standard for our new medical device testing processes and develop new test methods and in vitro models. We are also responsible for ensuring that our test methods are adequately verified and implemented globally in Coloplast.

Develop the area, the team and the laboratories
As our new Director, you will have a pivotal role in securing well-functioning and professional laboratories in R&D. This will involve overseeing laboratory process compliance, metrology and equipment functionality, laboratory test execution, and ensuring environmental health and safety compliance. Beyond the laboratory, you will be crucial in building strong internal and external networks, fostering collaboration, and driving innovation across the organization.
As we deliver into the Coloplast R&D project portfolio, your responsibilities extend to resource allocation, timely project deliveries, and cross-functional support for product launches and pipeline fulfillment. Additionally, to ensure that we can remain frontrunners in our field, you will be overall responsible for securing the right competences, capabilities and capacity in T&A to support the upcoming R&D project portfolio.
Finally, together with the leadership team, you will have to proactively contribute to the overall improvement and development of Test & Characterisation, while also contributing to Test & Characterisation strategy development and execution within Test & Analysis.
Experienced leader from the med-tech or pharma industry
It’s crucial that you have strong motivation for and experience with leading and developing leaders. You understand that leadership is much more about support and dialogue than anything else and you believe that going to work has to be fun and inspiring. You thrive with networking and stakeholder management, meaning that cross-organisational cooperation comes natural to you. Also, you are not afraid of challenging the status quo and having data-based dialogue with your colleagues.

FURTHERMORE, WE IMAGINE THAT YOU:

Hold a degree within e.g. chemistry, pharmacy, engineering or life science combined with several years of experience from the med-tech or pharma industry.
Preferably have profound leadership experience
Preferably have experience in the medical device industry from relevant areas such as product development and/or technology development.
Have a solid understanding of quality, equipment and information management related to a R&D laboratory
Have experience and knowledge about the whole development process of medical devices from ideas to authority approvals.
Are fluent in written and spoken English
