JOB SUMMARY:

The Director, Virtual Sales, Texture and Healthful Solutions, responsible for maximizing the profitability of Ingredion’s Texture and Healthful Solutions business. This role will lead the Virtual Sales team, including the Inside Sales Organization, charged with developing and leveraging customer relationships to maximize Ingredion’s profitability with their accounts. As a member of the Go-to-Market team, the Director, Virtual Sales, T&HS is responsible for driving product volumes and growing our specialty volumes, while optimizing revenue and maximizing profitability.

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Food Science or a related discipline with a minimum 10-15 years of Sales and Marketing experience - preferably in the Food ingredient industry. Recognized and respected by major food/beverage customers.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills. Demonstrated ability to develop talent within team.
  • Excellent business analytical skills and solid financial acumen.
  • Solid track record of delivering strong results year over year.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills. Must have ability to communicate across functional lines and at all levels of organization.
  • Desired experience in implementing or leading AI-driven solutions for customer support and sales process optimization. This includes proficiency in streamlining sales processes, automating repetitive tasks, and leveraging digital tools to enhance efficiency.
  • 25% - 35% overnight travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership of the Virtual Sales organization and in meeting company targets for specialty volumes, revenue and profitability, and growth targets for specialty products.
  • Development and execution of the annual sales plan for the Virtual Sales organization in support of the overall US/Canada Texture and Healthful Solutions sales strategy.
  • Development of the Virtual Sales Opportunity Pipeline for the business.
  • Development of account plans with the sales team and ensuring that the team fully utilizes Salesforce.com for account planning, opportunity development, customer experience documentation, etc.
  • Calling on customers directly to develop strong multi-level relationships between Ingredion and important accounts.
  • Evaluating profitability of different options during pricing/volume negotiations to optimize profitability based on solid understanding of Texture and Healthful Solutions business.
  • Developing and meeting targets for Continuous Improvement, Sustainability, Customer Experience and other initiatives with customers.
  • Working collaboratively with other Texture and Healthful Solutions Sales Directors and the other sales teams on issues of shared interest, such as shared accounts or pricing.
  • Partnering with Technical Service and Marketing Management to assist Sales team to develop new opportunities and product offering.
  • Establishing robust development and succession plans within the Virtual Sales Organization.
