Description:

About Us
The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) is a justice service that resolves a wide range of disputes for the Victorian community, including renting, planning, and consumer disputes. VCAT is committed to delivering an accessible service for all Victorians and is transforming our digital products and services to make it faster, easier, and more convenient for people to come to the tribunal.
About the Role
The Disability Liaison Coordinator (DLC) is tasked with overseeing a small team of Disability Liaison Officers (DLOs). The DLC will allocate cases to the DLO Team to ensure that VCAT users are supported and provided with the assistance needed to manage their matter(s) at VCAT. The DLC is responsible for contacting external support services and liaising with internal stakeholders (e.g. registry services and Tribunal members) to ensure Tribunal Users are supported and reasonable adjustments can be accommodated where appropriate.
The DLO team assists users involved in VCAT cases, or considering making applications to the Tribunal, by providing them with information relating to VCATs processes and procedures.
The DLC acts as a primary point of contact for the DLO team which is located within the broader Community Access Services team at VCAT.
Stakeholders are varied: Tribunal users who may be living with a disability; representatives for external support services and members and staff within the Tribunal.
The Disability Liaison Coordinator reports to the Support Services Manager.
