Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

We are currently looking for an experiened Disability Support Workers to partner with a 20-year-old male participant based in Manilla, NSW. Our participant has sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and has lost lower limb & partial upper limb movement.

This role will be on a casual on-going basis with morning shifts and afternoon shifts available, Monday to Sunday. Hours include:

  • Morning shifts - between (10:30am - 2:00pm)
  • Afternoon shift - (4:00pm - 6:00pm)

Due the complexity of the participant, successful candidates must have experience with Traumatic Brain Injuries, supporting non-verbal participants, hoisting, PEG feeding and manual handling.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assistance with domestic tasks including cleaning & meal preparation
  • PEG feeding (Preferred but not essential) - Training will be provided
  • Community access
  • Assistance with toileting (changing of continence aids)
  • Assistance with Health & Rehab exercises
  • Hoisting (full hoist/sling hoist)
  • Assistance with personal care
  • Administrating Medication
  • Completing skin checks
