Description:
DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKER
Are you a dedicated Disability Worker who is looking for regular casual work? Our client, a large Not-For-Profit organisation is looking to bring on passionate and skilled employees to work at multiple sites within Broome.
As part of the casual workforce, you will be a vital member of the team, working both regular shifts and cover shifts with opportunities for AM, PM, Overnight and Sleepover shifts.
For exceptional candidates, there is an opportunity for permanent employment.
- Broome Location
- $40.26 an hour plus appropriate shift loadings
- Various Shifts Available
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing support, guidance and engagement to people living with a disability
- Engaging individuals in community led activities, and skills coaching to enhance their abilities to independently undertake tasks
- Working with a variety of individuals to engage in activities of interest and explore areas of personal interest
- Providing personal support where required, this may include toileting, feeding, showering
- Completing daily case notes, admin tasks and incident reports
- Overall promote independence, encourage inclusiveness and respect the rights and privacy of an individual with a disability through engagement and opportunity creation
Compliances Required:
- A Certificate III in Disability, Community Services, or similar
- You must be willing to under go and obtain a clear National Police Check
- Working rights in Australia
- A full and valid drivers license
- A current First Aid Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- A Minimum of 2 COVID-19 Vaccinations
- Current and Valid WWCC
