REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of experience in disaster recovery, business continuity, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of disaster recovery principles and methodologies.
  • Experience with data backup and recovery techniques.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools used for disaster recovery planning and documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan Development and Maintenance: Assist in developing and maintaining up-to-date disaster recovery plans that outline procedures for data recovery, system restoration, and business resumption following a disaster.
  • Risk Assessment and Analysis: Participate in risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities that could disrupt critical operations.
  • Testing and Training: Assist with conducting regular tests of disaster recovery plans to ensure their effectiveness and train staff on recovery procedures.
  • Data Backup and Recovery: Work with IT teams to ensure critical data is backed up regularly and can be recovered quickly in the event of a disaster.
  • Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with key vendors involved in disaster recovery solutions, ensuring contracts and service agreements are current.
  • Incident Response: Support the incident response team during a disaster by helping to restore critical systems and data.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of disaster recovery plans, procedures, and test results. Prepare reports summarizing disaster recovery activities and recommendations.
  • Staying Current: Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies related to disaster recovery.
