An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Staff Nurse to join the Discharge Lounge team with a keen interest in improving patient flow across the Trust.
The Discharge Lounge is a dynamic busy but rewarding area where you will be surrounded by friendly and supportive colleagues in an environment that encourages new ideas, innovation and personal development.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for assessing and arranging transfer to the Discharge Lounge and supporting all wards across the Trust. The Discharge Lounge handles a large volume of patients every day flexibility and adaptability are essential skills for working in this busy environment.
We are looking for a reliable, experienced individual with a demonstrated ability to self-manage their own time and development. You will practice autonomously and be responsible and accountable for safe, compassionate care, liaising with ward areas, pharmacy, transport services and next of kin to ensure patients are discharged in a safe and timely manner.
