Skillforce Recruitment currently have a new exciting opportunity for a Dispatch & Logistics Officer for Full Time Employment .
This company is a well-established company that has been in operations for a number of years and have operations in Australia and also worldwide operations. This position if for a full time contract.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and monitoring of outbound transport function and activities in terms of operations;
- Specifically planning and directing transport for delivery and pick-up from customers;
- Liaise with various stakeholders, including drivers, contractors and internal staff contacts;
- Provide and direct Drivers & Leading Hand or load out Forklift Operator Dispatch list to allow efficient load out of Vehicles;
- Ensure all work loaded out has necessary job cards and that dispatch paperwork is completed and returned to the Operations Administrator - Galvanising reception for processing;
- Manage yard layout to allow quick and accurate job identification, receivables laydown space and loading and unloading of materials in an efficient manner;
- Evaluate delivery deadlines and take corrective action to eliminate behind schedule conditions and liaise effectively necessary parties;
- Help Reception manage customer Drop-offs, Cash and EFTPOS payment;
- Co-ordinate product that needs galvanising and delivery between all plants;
- Participate in meetings relating to planning, production, quality, safety and other operational matters as determined by the Production Supervisor and/or the Operations Manager;
- Monitor quality of finished products before dispatching;
- Report all known QHSE hazards and incidents on timely manner as per company’s procedure; and
- Identify opportunities for improvement which benefits company to improve its operations.
- Invoicing for COD Customers
- Ordering stock / PPE

- SKILLS AND EXPERIENCETo be considered for this opportunity you will possess:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe loading and unloading procedures
- Demonstrated organisational skills
- Good analytically and planning skills
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
