Display Technology Research Engineer

Solidus is searching for a Display Technology Research Engineer to conduct research and development related to display technology testing and characterization and design and execute experiments to evaluate display systems.
The Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize display systems and develop and maintain scripts for data acquisition and analysis. They will be responsible for analyzing data and providing insights for display technology improvements, providing regular updates to team members and government sponsors on research progress, and staying up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies. Candidates must be able to work on-site at Eglin AFB, FL.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in characterizing display technologies (MEMS, LCD, OLED, LED, etc.)
• Experience with infrared cameras and camera calibration.
• Experience with display calibration
• Familiarity with display measurement equipment (cameras, spectrometers, spectroradiometers, colorimeters, photodiode detectors, etc.)

• US Citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance (Active Clearance preferred)
• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Optics, or related field
• 2+ years working in a laboratory environment
• Strong engineering and research skills
• Proficiency in optics and opto-mechanics
• Experience scripting control software of laboratory instrumentation
• Proficient in data analysis using Python, MATLAB, or similar tools
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Some travel, anticipated 10% of the time
