Required Skills & Experience

  • Good standard of English and Maths (Minimum GCSE Level 4 / grade C or equivalent)
  • Forklift licences from an affiliated body (e.g. Jungheinrich, Mentor)
  • Good IT skills
  • Good communication, influencing and team working skills.
  • Can think problems through in a logical and analytical manner.
  • Self-driven, proactive, with a continuous-improvement mindset.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production demands.
  • Hands-on attitude and willingness to learn new skills

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Working within a distribution centre.
  • Experience of using a Warehouse Management System (ideally Microsoft Dynamic 365).
  • Understanding of the requirements of GMP/GDP.
  • Good eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

The operator is involved in the general day to day running of the distribution centre on a shift pattern based on business needs, this includes:

  • Forklift truck operation – counterbalance, reach truck & VNA.
  • Loading & unloading of vehicles
  • Picking & processing customer sales orders.
  • Maintaining supply to production
  • Goods receiving of inbound deliveries, including control of pharmaceutical materials
  • Continuous use of WMS
  • Maintaining a high level of compliance
  • Maintaining a high level of safety
  • Support production and other areas to ensure priorities are understood and maintained

This role involves working a double day shift, 06.00 – 14.00 / 14.00 – 22.00 on a weekly rot
