Description:

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Balance and track all 3rd party warehouse inventories.
  • Ship and receive sales orders, PO’s and transfers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Work with Calavo warehouses to assist in inventory and repack issues.
  • Process all returns for warehouses.
  • Enter adjustments and credits upon approval.
  • Scan all back-up paperwork.
  • Compile all month end inventories; organize and help resolve any issues.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned or required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required experience, knowledge, skills and ability.
  • Three plus years of experience in inventory and distribution, preferably in the agricultural (avocado) industry.
  • Experience working in a chilled food facility or related environment is preferred.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Safe work practices common to the trades.
  • Bilingual (Spanish / English) helpful
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Basic math skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

  • Able to work independently and cross functionally across an organization.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities; uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of inventory systems.
  • Possess excellent PC skills in MS Office; intermediate level of experience using Excel; as well as working knowledge of order entry, inventory, and freight systems.
  • Must have excellent critical thinking skills to resolve problems by gathering and analyzing information skillfully in a timely manner.
  • Possess excellent sound and accurate judgment.

PAY RANGE:

  • The actual hourly wage for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s skills and experience.
  • Please note that base pay is one important aspect of a compelling Total Rewards package. The base pay range indicated here does not include any additional benefits or cash bonuses that you may be eligible for based on your role and/or employment type.
    WORK DEMANDS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this Job it is primarily (sedentary or working in a chilled factory or warehouse environment), the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk or hear; sit for prolong periods and use hands to finger, handle, lift or feel. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
