Description:

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 15+ years of hands-on sales management experience and a progressive sales leadership role as VP or SVP of Sales which includes sales strategy planning and execution, sales operations, business planning, and sales support management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field required. Master’s degree in Business preferred.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills. Extensive executive-level presentation experience.
  • Global experience to help align international strategies.
  • Proven record of accomplishment of growing revenue through new customer acquisition, expansion selling, and channel development.
  • General management and P&L experience.
  • Experienced in department collaboration, partnerships and contributions to programs and initiatives designed to improve the performance of the entire organization.
  • Demonstrated passion for coaching and developing talent.
  • Passion for discipline and consistent process excellence.
  • Strong financial acumen, data and metric driven while putting people first in all decisions.
  • Proven ability to create and execute comprehensive sales and technical service programs.

    This position has a target base salary of:
    $283,068.36
    and annual commission target of:
    $183,000.00

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the EVP Sales and Operations, the District Vice President & General Manager is responsible for all employees within the MRS (Mail Related Solutions) Western District. The District VP & General Manager will provide leadership, strategic direction, and support for the Western District sales team while simultaneously achieving sales and strategic goals for the region.
An essential responsibility of the District VP & General Manager is to grow competitive acquisitions by implementing and executing sales strategies to retain customers and grow our customer base. You will collaborate with sales enablement, technical service and marketing on key strategies and programs designed to develop sales talent, grow productivity, and execute on our established sales and management process/methodology.

As a member of the extended leadership team, you will be responsible for attaining financial performance goals while building and nurturing a work environment that reflects Quadient’s values and mission.

  • Drive growth and success of the MRS (Mail Related Solutions) Western US District.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company revenue and growth objectives. Execute annual sales plan to achieve the assigned growth and financial objectives.
  • Work with the regional sales team to develop and guide execution of strategic and tactical plans, achieve revenue targets and grow Quadient’s customer base within the established budget.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and improve sales team performance. Analyze performance of the region against established and required KPI’s and goals.
  • Lead and manage sales and service teams so their activities meet the organization’s business objectives, comply with regulations, and protect the organization’s reputation.
  • Monitor the marketplace and analyze opportunities, providing competitive analysis, strategies, and tactics.
  • Stay well connected with customers to ensure broad market needs are being incorporated into the product development and strategic planning cycle.
  • Collaborate with finance, product management, and marketing on messaging, pricing strategies, and business models to achieve revenue goals.
  • Identify and resolve issues across the sales and account management functions.
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, career development, coaching and mentoring of the sales team and sales department budget.
  • Drive and oversee process optimization, territory and quota development, revenue forecasting, sales compensation, and overall sales force success.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports/presentations to the executive team, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  • Negotiate major client terms of sales in conjunction with our national, government, marketing, and legal departments to maximize the organization’s interest.
  • Liaise with other senior executives across the organization to ensure strategies align with Quadient’s business and corporate objectives.
