DIVISION MANAGER - SPECIAL PROJECTS, WA

Deacon Construction is seeking a senior-level Division Manager for their Special Projects group in WA, who can demonstrate a high degree of independent decision-making and professionalism. This person is expected to be capable of assuming complete responsibility for all essential division functions and making decisions that have a significant impact on client relations, profitability, and the overall direction of the division. They are required to plan, manage, direct, and administer policies and goals for the Special Project Division with a strong focus on Client Satisfaction, Profitability, Operational Performance, Estimating, and Growth.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years’ experience in construction management, supervision, and project management.
  • Have managed a construction division previously.
  • Strong understanding of standard contract verbiage, insurance, and indemnification.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • Proven track record of superior financial performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Aid in the Business Development/Marketing efforts for new business and existing clients.
  • Negotiate contracts.
  • Risk Management assessment.
  • Oversee the preparation of all bids, estimates, and budgets while providing the division with expertise and proper direction.
  • Forecast and ensure short/long-term profitability of the division.
  • Review, recommend, and monitor budgets ensuring adherence to expense control and achievement of revenue projections.
  • Manage and direct day-to-day activities of division staff by established policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Delight the Client.
