Tolko’s Divisional Accounting Supervisors play an integral part in our day-to-day success. Reporting to the Plant Manager, our Divisional Accounting Supervisor’s engage their teams, keep employees safe and ensure our mills are financially compliant. We are looking for an experienced Divisional Accounting Supervisor to join our Meadow Lake OSB Division, located in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. Meadow Lake employs 155 employees and safely and sustainably produces 730 million square feet of OSB every year for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Completion of post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related program.
  • Chartered professional accounting (CPA) designation, or actively working towards.
  • Two years experience leading a small accounting team.
  • Five years experience providing accounting services within a manufacturing environment, wood products manufacturing, preferred.
  • Excellent Excel skills, including experience with Power BI and JD Edwards.
  • An analytical, problem solver with strong decision-making capability.
  • Proficient with financial projection and project management.

In this role, you will:

  • Leverage your insight with numbers to dig into data and take pride in providing accurate financial information, including financial statements and annual budgets.
  • Use your strong understanding of financial policies and controls to see the big picture, keep us compliant as an organization and identify opportunities to drive the business forward.
  • Partner with departments across the mill to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Operate in a safe manner in accordance to work safe rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Support employee development of direct reports through coaching, feedback, and performance management.
  • Coordinate financial statements, monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, and other divisional cost information completion.
  • Responsible for the completion of the annual business plan by collecting data, analyzing, and preparing required budget worksheets and reports.
  • Maintain divisional fixed asset ledger.
  • Coordinate audit file preparation and requirements of internal and external auditors.
