Description:
JOB OVERVIEW
The Division of Integrated Care includes UTC, SDEC, general and acute medical wards, intermediate tier services including intermediate care units, home support services, urgent community response, virtual ward and a wide range of adult and children’s community services including Community Paediatricians. The Division employs approximately 1000 colleagues and has an annual budget of approximately £40million.
The Divisional Clinical Director is a key part of the Divisional Triumvirate Management Team alongside Divisional Director of Nursing and Divisional Managing Director.

Responsibilities:
MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB
The Divisional Clinical Director is responsible for delivering high quality, safe, reliable, and sustainable services, the Clinical Director is also professionally and managerially responsible for medical staff across the Division, including; urgent & emergency care, acute medicine, intermediate care and adult and children’s community services. The Clinical Director, in conjunction with the Divisional Director of Nursing and Divisional Managing Director, are responsible for;
- Assuring effective and reliable care through high standards of clinical practice and governance.
- Delivering quality and service improvement and eliminate avoidable harm.
- Delivering high operational performance.
- Ensuring effective financial management practice through improved efficiency and profitability and contribute to the Productivity and Value-based Efficiency (PAVE) programme.
- In collaboration with the Directorate and Divisional Management Team, lead on the strategic development of the service.
