DMI (Digital Markets Infrastructure) is an ambitious project: large-scale, complex and uses a range of blockchain architecture patterns, with numerous stakeholders (internal and external) and use cases. The work is focused on the tokenisation of financial instruments, i.e. as digital assets. We seek candidates with an interest in the financial markets with experience of working on large projects. This is a chance to work on an innovative, intellectually challenging project backed by the influential reach of London Stock Exchange Group.

ROLE SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and oversee teams responsbible for building components of an open, regulated Digital Asset ecosystem. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and proven leadership skills. They will play an essential role in ensuring the robustness and efficiency of Digital Market Infrastructure.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Build, lead and manage multiple engineering teams providing guidance, mentorship and support to ensure successful delivery of complex systems in a regulated environment.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, architects and other stakholders to define delivery requirements, scope and priorities.
  • Responsible for the build out and maintenance of technology tooling, pipelines and development frameworks to empower and support DMI engineering.
  • Support cross-product alignment and technical steering to ensure all products meet the strategic goals of the business.
  • Ensure adherance to best practices, engineering standards, and quality processes throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Act as techical escalation point, resolving complex technical issues and provisding guiance to team members as needed.
  • Develop & maintain knowledge of enterprise digital asset technology trends and market adoption as it relates to financial markets infrastructure, capital markets institutions, fintechs, industry associations and bodies as well as optimal use cases.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement within DMI engineering.
