PROJECT SUMMARY

Do you have experience of working as a Technical Project Manager supporting migration to Azure?
B2E Consulting is currently in search of a proficient Technical Project Manager to provide crucial support for an ongoing infrastructure refresh programme aimed at our leading Financial Services client. In this role, the Project Manager will primarily be tasked with overseeing the transition of dormant applications and static data from on-premise environments to Azure solutions, specifically Azure SQL DB or Azure Data Lake.

The successful candidate must have:

• Extensive experience in managing projects involving the migration of application data to cloud environments,
• Strong communication skills and,
• strong understanding of Azure SQL and Data Lake solutions.

The role can primarily be completed remotely, but travel to client site on the South Coast is essential for 1-2 days a week; the office is very close to a major train station with good access from London and major cities.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

:

Successful consultants will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, leading projects involving the migration of application data from on-premise data centers to cloud solutions.
• Extensive knowledge of Azure cloud services and solutions, including Azure SQL and Azure Data Lake.
• Strong understanding of database technologies, particularly SQL databases, and experience in database migration strategies and techniques.
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans, manage budgets, and coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.

OPTIONAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

:

• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or cloud platforms (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect).
• Experience working in the financial services industry or with clients in highly regulated environments.
• Familiarity with data governance principles, data lifecycle management, and data archival strategies in cloud environments.
