Description:

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the project schedule, review the project scope of work and related documents to confirm requirements and services needed to support the various projects.
  • Coordinates delivery of project deliverables, design documents, as built drawings, turnover documents, etc. to technical Work Planning (TWP).
  • Coordinate the charge path with project team for assigned technical work planning required services.
  • Identify and document delivery dates for the Technical Work Planning group deliverables based on the project P6 schedule.
  • Ensure inspection and test plan requests (ITPR) are received from the project team and coordinate the issue of the ITPR on behalf of Technical Work Planning group.
  • Monitor and act on technical work planning group deliverables, Requests for Information (RFIs), and Issues & Opportunities in time to meet the project schedule.
  • Escalate issues to the Technical Work Planning FLMS, Leads and Section Manager when required.
  • Establish and maintain interfaces with other internal groups, subcontractors supporting the project.

Other Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review assigned Issues & Opportunities and address questions if possible or engage the appropriate people for resolution.
  • Notify the Project Manager of unresolved issues on the project.
  • Provide project updates to the Project team as required.
  • Provides status report of project milestones and adjustment to schedules, when requested.
  • Provide and ensure effectiveness of the liaison function between technical work planning, engineering and the project team for problem resolution and information flow.
  • Forecast and tracks changes to project deliverable and including scope changes.
  • Maintain high standards related to final product quality.
  • Other duties as assigned by the TWP Section Manager.
  • Participate in company-wide initiatives aimed at overall continuous improvement.

Education:
Relevant post-secondary diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a planning position
  • Previous nuclear experience considered an asset

Knowledge/ Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in project controls and coordination in construction or EPC environment
  • Experience working under a Nuclear Quality Program preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) skills.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team.
  • Organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task/ Service orientated.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or other engineering design software application.
  • Good knowledge of scheduling/tracking and coordination fundamentals and business operations.
  • Thrive on a fast paced-environment
  • Post-secondary education in an Engineering or Technology Mechanical Electrical or Civil discipline.

Other:

  • Must be able obtain Security Clearance and the Bruce Nuclear Site
