Responsibilities:

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The Product Management team is at the heart of our business, with responsibility for P&L, risk management and product development. The EMEA team is based in London, with additional and growing presence in key markets in the region. A role has arisen to support paper collections within the Payments and Receipts team. This opportunity offers autonomy for a product manager to set direction for this key part of the Payments product set, and to interact with a wide range of stakeholders at different levels, including sales, technology, operations, and risk and control functions. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure frequent local engagement with central banks, regulatory bodies and payments institutions in the 7 EMEA markets. Work to get ahead of new mandate changes and emerging risks in those markets.
  • Maintain appropriate awareness/assessments of our capabilities via local clearing systems e.g. UKFP, CHAPS and Bacs in the UK as well as EBA STEP2 and TARGET 2 across the other local markets. Work with our Real Time Payments team to consider the evolution of NPA in the UK.
  • Support the engagement with any Integrated Partner Bank relationships in those markets.
  • Work with local branch managers, COO and local compliance partners in Spain, Greece, France, Italy, UK and Ireland to ensure Product support for domestic client needs.
  • Remain up-to-speed with the latest local payment evolution across these markets.
  • Participate in local industry bodies to ensure we are involved in consultations on changes in the local payments landscape : e.g. BPFI in Ireland, UK Finance in UK.
  • Support development of local capability build out in partnership with regional product managers as well as ongoing maintenance e.g. Domestic LCR needs in France. AUDDIS needs in UK.
  • Act as a local resource for other Global Payments Solutions activities in those 7 markets e.g. Commercial Card, Merchant Acquiring, Trade Finance, Transactional FX.
  • Respond to client/sales queries specific to the countries covered e.g. RFP responses/production issues
  • Opportunity to work on Ad hoc projects in support of overall EMEA Product Management Org.
  • Manage all aspects of underlying technology infrastructure and external partners and utilities associated with local capabilities.
  • Regular reporting on volumes, issue management, project progress.
  • On point for internal audit and risk reviews, scheme rule or regulatory change (impact assessment and implementation)
  • Close engagement with operations to promote streamlined processes.
  • Close collaboration with other product managers in the subject matter area, including in other regions to share knowledge and best practice.
  • Involvement in coaching and development of graduates and other junior colleagues.
