Description:

The post holder will develop and manage the delivery of excellent hospital cleaning standards in line with NHS National Cleaning Standards ensuring all staff are motivated, trained, equipped and competent to all categories of cleaning activity, including routine cleaning and reactive cleaning response.
The post holder will liaise with clinical staff, area managers and the infection control team to ensure agreed standards have been met and that service delivery is in line with the relevant standards set out in departmental procedures, Trust Policies and National Initiatives.
The Service Lead Role will work a rotational shift pattern across 7 days a week, cross site cover. The service is working towards being an exemplar site.
To ensure the Trust meets the statutory compliance for the National Cleaning Standards. To ensure on a day-to-day basis the service is line with and to apply on behalf of the trust its policy, procedures, and governance relating to the service provision.
Be the operational lead for day to day activity of the service and service teams ensuring timely professional standards achieved.
Be the day to day link between the service and stakeholder groups and deliver tasks covering:
Work with other service leads across the service to ensure safe practices are in place, regularly reviewed and safe staff cover of the service is maintained across 7 days.
To investigate complaints and incidents relating to Domestic Services using trust reporting procedures.
To be the responsible person for auditing and monitoring around the statutory requires for the service.
Work with and across the service team to ensure delivery of the National Cleaning Standards and to ensures those standards are adhered to/ implemented / risk assured and cascaded into the services as directed by the DOSM.
To monitor and feedback about performance of service including related contracts.
To understand and use the services audit system and manage the services output against the statutory targets within that system.
