The Opportunity
Join our team as a Drainage Engineer and make a significant impact in driving quality, efficiency, and innovation! In this role, you will be responsible for designing and delivering exceptional results through accurate estimates, meticulous analysis, and insightful reporting.
Your keen eye for risk mitigation and identifying opportunities will be instrumental in ensuring project success. As an Engineer, you will also play a crucial role in providing proactive education and technical training to the team, equipping them with the latest knowledge and skills.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drawing and documentation updates, including the mark-up and submission of as-built drawings where required
  • Report any design issues to the Head of Engineering or any Project Manager.
  • Attendance and contribution to client meetings in a technical capacity.
  • Analyse specifications, plans and related technical data to determine time, cost and labour requirements for projects, tender bids and related commercial contracts.
  • Participate in detailed design teams to ensure estimates are relevant to scopes of works, stakeholders’ expectations and are cost effective.
  • Manage the preparation of estimates, designs and tenders, following Company procedures.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient in computer and IT proprietary systems such as MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of specific hydraulic software such as 12d Drainage, HY 8, TuFLOW, HEC-RAS, DRAINS is highly valued.
  • Appreciation for temporary works design, showcasing your ability to design and optimize temporary works effectively.
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
