DESCRIPTION

Michael Baker is actively seeking a Drainage Engineer for the Phoenix, AZ office. The successful candidate will be a task leader for drainage related tasks on projects for local and regional municipalities and flood control districts.   • The successful candidate will be responsible for project related drainage design tasks, drainage report preparation, and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling. Candidate will mentor and lead junior staff to complete task requirements on budget and schedule. Candidate will coordinate with clients and have opportunities to participate in marketing activities.
  • The candidate shall have strong verbal and written skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Opportunities will be provided to work with clients and participate in marketing activities.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • 4-10 years of related experience with hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) models such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, FLO-2D, ArcGIS, and additional experience in Civil 3D, MicroStation and Inroads is a plus.
  • You will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of storm water management and principles of hydrology and hydraulics of storm water runoff.
  • BS in Civil Engineering or related field,
  • Professional engineering license (PE) in Arizona or desire to obtain within one year.
