Description:

Overview:
PRG Australia is looking for an experienced Draughtsman / CAD Operator to join out Project Management team for a 6-month period commencing July 2024. The role will be based at our Dandenong warehouse with the option for remote working (by mutual agreement) for the successful candidate.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide CAD support for all projects.
We expected the role will require 5 days a week to be worked in the first 3 months and followed by 2-3 days per week in the following 3 months. This may become on ongoing role in 2025.

Qualifications:

  • Good basic engineering knowledge with a background in the Construction or Engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, minimum 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Attention to detail, high level of accuracy with excellent organisational and analytical skills.
  • Capable of working to strict deadlines and working additional hours when necessary.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Teams.
  • Work well as part of a team with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude to extra duties and new challenges. Reliable and with good time keeping record.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and hazard-free environment and understand and comply with The Company’s Health and Safety policy.

Responsibilities:

  • Research produce, review and keep updated drawings in AutoCAD 2D & 3D & Vectorworks. AutoCAD 3D is preferred.
  • Manage drawing version controls.
  • Ensure all drawing information is correct, to the highest possible standard and conforms to industry best practise.
  • Interact with Project Managers, Structural Engineers and client representatives.
  • Guarantee the Company’s quality standards are always maintained.
  • Ensure the Company’s policies, rules, procedures, and obligations are observed in carrying out the above duties.
