ABOUT THE ROLE
Eavor Technologies Inc. is seeking a Drilling Technology Engineer to drive the implementation and advancement of our drilling technologies, including insulated drill pipe, multi-lateral technologies, and other innovative solutions integrated into the Eavor-Loop™. As we scale our business and expand our geothermal energy solutions, this role will be instrumental in leading the design, development, and commercialization of drilling technologies.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in project management, design, and vendor relationships, with a background in complex product development manufacturing. Experience in taking a product from development to implementation, working with manufacturing or service companies, and managing inventory will be essential.
Eavor™ is an Alberta-based tech company that has invented a new geothermal power generation technology overcoming all the traditional roadblocks of geothermal. Our highly effective green power generation system, called Eavor-Loop™, is made with existing commercial technologies configured in a completely novel way. We use the most recent advances in drilling techniques and merge them with the latest heat to power generation technology to create the world’s first scalable, steady, and reliable source of green power. ROLE DESCRIPTION
This is a full-time on-site role for a Technology Development Engineer position located in Calgary, AB. As a Drilling Technology Engineer, you will work with a multidisciplinary team and play a key role in the development of the drilling systems that are essential to the success of our Eavor-Loop™. You will be involved in designing, testing, and commercializing drilling technologies that can operate in the most challenging of deep geothermal environments.
This role is based in Calgary, Alberta, requiring local and international travel based on business needs.
SOME OF WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Lead the development, testing, and implementation of drilling technologies, for the Eavor-Loop™.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure the successful integration and deployment of these solutions in drilling operations.
- Organize and conduct field tests to validate the performance and reliability of selected technologies.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for novel solutions in drilling, providing guidance and support to internal teams and external partners.
