We are committed to enabling the safe and secure reuse of electronics, responsible recycling of electronics to divert waste from landfills, and recovery of natural resources from obsolete electronics.

DRIVER:

We are looking for a Driver to join our Vancouver ITAD team. The Driver is responsible for driving a designated vehicle, to transport assets to and from customers ensuring safe loading and unloading of the vehicle according to all governing legislations and company standards. This involves preparing products to be shipped, loading and securing assets, as well as collections and data eradication on site if required. The Driver would also serve as an ambassador for QUANTUM and would deal with customers professionally and courteously.

Your education, experience and skills:

  • Minimum High School graduate.
  • 2 years (minimum) of experience in similar position, preferred 3 -5 years’ experience in similar position with prior experience in Tailgate Operation, Straight/Dump truck and Hydraulic Lift.
  • Air Brakes Course
  • Valid Class 5 License.
  • Clean Driver’s Abstract and CVOR.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Comfortable with detailed documentation and knowledge of the city.
  • Good communication and analytical/mathematical skills.
  • Knowledge of applicable transportation regulations

Responsibilities:

Drive primarily straight trucks or assigned vehicles to transport materials mainly on local routes and short inter-urban routes in compliance with governing legislations and company policies.

  • Transport materials to and from customers as assigned and provide proper paperwork in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Drive trucks to weigh stations before and after loading and along routes, in order to document weights and to comply with applicable regulations.
  • Perform daily circle checks on vehicle and preventative maintenance according to governing legislation and standards.
  • Safely maneuver vehicles into loading and unloading positions following signals from the loading crew as needed; check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned.
  • Assist in loading and unloading truck manually or using a loading-related equipment.
  • Ensure that the load is properly fastened down and secured by performing periodic inspections before, during and after delivery.
  • Record and maintain required documentation including logbook, inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, and post trip), maintenance and repair reports, accident or incident reports and bills of lading in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Request proper documentation from customers.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all Customer, Supplier and Company information
  • Participate in training as required and apply knowledge gained through training on the job.
  • Ensure to work with / use security measures, procedures and devices as required.
  • Assist in other warehouse duties as assigned
