Scope:
The DFO Operator is responsible for the operation and the preventive maintenance associated to applicable process equipment. Responsibilities include all the required quality checks needed to assure product and equipment(s) performance and expectations. Primary process equipment are: Machines that coat resist dry film on panels, machines used for viewing and inspecting art work, and machines that expose the dry film with UV light. Will be exposed to hazardous waste while performing daily job duties. Operators will undergo Chemical Handling training prior to the start of performing these duties and will actively participate in ongoing hazardous waste and chemical handling training.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate the dry film laminator. This includes the start-up, operation, preventive maintenance, and product quality responsibilities.
  • Operate the machine used for viewing artwork. This includes the start-up, operation, preventive maintenance, and product verification responsibilities.
  • Operate the machine used to expose the dry film with UV light. This includes the start-up, operation, preventive maintenance, and product quality responsibilities.
  • Read and interpret shop order traveler to verity that all previous operations were completed, to verify count and to verify product quality from previous processing.
  • Able to enter pertinent information from all jobs in the manufacturing production control system.
  • Maintain a safe, neat and orderly workplace in compliance with company safety policies.
  • Accurately complete all internal departmental documentation
  • Responsible for meeting department throughput and production goals
  • Follow all safety measures when handling chemicals and hazardous waste with regard to use, mixing and disposing chemicals.

Essential Knowledge & Skills:

  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job.
  • Ability to stand throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds (14 kg) without straining.
  • Willingness to support various manufacturing work schedules by being available to work flexible hours.
  • Will be cross trained depending on business needs.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
