Dry Goods Assistants - Afternoon Full Time

Our Dry Goods Department, made up of Grocery, Chilled & Frozen, Liquor and Trolley sub-departments, has new vacancies! The task in Dry Goods includes:

• Ensuring the shelves are appropriately stocked and relevant merchandising standards are maintained
• Unloading and categorising delivered pallets, distributing them to shelves or cages above shelves for easy access
• Retrieving stock from the Storeroom as required for optimal shelf fullness
• Display building
• Receiving customer enquiries - following up on customer requests efficiently
• Rotate stock accurately to ensure minimal wastage
• Trolley collection when needed

This role has a focus on working in CHILLED / FROZEN predominantly (but is still inclusive to grocery / liquor and is not limited to the above work too)

The hours days for the position are as follows:

• Sunday to Thursday 12.30 pm - 9.00 pm (Friday & Saturday off, 40 hours per week)
• Tuesday to Saturday 12.30 pm - 9.00 pm (40 hours per week)
• Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12.30 pm - 9.00 pm (24 hours per week)
• Tuesday to Thursday 12.30 pm - 9.00 pm (24 hours per week)

Due to the physical nature of this job as often handling heavy stock, we require the successful candidate to be physically fit, and constantly lift up to 25kg, or be able to wheel a full pallet of stock on a pallet jack. This can be a very fast paced and physically challenging role, however very rewarding. The role is also requiring the successful candidate to be able to work well within a team.
Previous experience in a similar role/environment is desired but not essential.
