Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Consistently achieve established key performance indicators for productivity, accuracy and housekeeping.
  • To work within any operating areas as determined by the management and needs of the business.
  • Assist with the induction and training of stock control assistants as and when necessary.
  • Perform unplanned cycle counts in response to warehouse stock integrity issues such as stock discrepancies and pick shortages.
  • Perform regular cycle counts in accordance with agreed schedules to ensure KPI’s are met.
  • Monitor non-allocable stock and report issues.
  • Investigate and rectify any issues created by replenishment synchronization.
  • Carry out detailed stock investigations when requested, make adjustments and report.
  • Relocate stock and required in order to maintain both store friendly picking and optimum slot utilization.
  • Respond to product holds when required.
  • Filing all documentation for safe keeping
  • Train Department according to the SOP of the department and align to Client requirements
  • Ensure all equipment used during the course of daily duties is handled correctly and to report any defects to the Section Manager.
  • When conducting duties, follow standard operating procedures and safe working practices.
  • Perform administration tasks according to standard operating procedures.
  • Filing all documentation generated as a result of the above.
  • Complying with company policies and procedures.

  • Experience in working in the Inventory department is essential
  • Thorough knowledge and a proven track record of investigations of stock issues to resolution is essential
  • Knowledge and experience on the SAP WM system is preferable
  • Analysis and problem solving ability
  • Ability to work within a rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent knowledge of inventory/stock processes essential
  • Customer Management at a senior level

QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES :

  • Matric/ Grade 12
  • Degree or equivalent (Diploma in Inventory Management) is Desirable
  • 3 - 5 years Logistics / Warehouse experience in different departments
  • Computer Literacy
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Achieve work targets and is willing to take on additional roles / responsibilities
  • Deadline driven
  • Ability to work well under pressure

Responsibilities:

To ensure that all procedures pertaining to all functions within the Inventory department are carried out with the utmost professionalism. Responsibility for maintaining and managing inventory integrity. To manage and control the returns process to agreed levels of performance and to contribute to the continuous improvement of the process. To manage Bubble and offsite stock. Service delivery is to be on time and expedited accurately, whilst ensuring losses to the company are kept to a minimum. To continuously strive to improve the physical inventory process.
