Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

The Dynamic Component / Powertrain Repair Technician performs duties for H-1 Series aircraft in the Czech Republic. The Dynamic Component / Powertrain Repair Technician will inspect, maintain, test, and repair dynamic components (gearboxes, heads, driveshafts) in helicopters and tiltrotors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two to four (2-4) years of recent experience as a Dynamic Component / Powertrain Repair Technician.
  • Successfully completed and qualified in the appropriate U.S. Government Dynamic Component Repair Technician or Powertrain course.
  • Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms or similar aviation maintenance management system, and other aircraft-related documentation.
  • Professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Possess a valid issued driver’s license.
  • Successfully pass an overseas deployment physical upon hire.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.
  • US Citizenship required.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience on H-1 Series aircraft.
  • Seven to ten (7-10) years directly related experience.
  • CDQAR experience desirable.
  • Associate Degree.

Responsibilities:

  • Employs operational risk management principles.
  • Performs ground maintenance tasks and repairs on aircraft and mission systems components.
  • Interprets technical manual/correspondence (i.e. instructions, drawings, diagrams).
  • Identifies and diagnose aircraft and mission systems malfunctions.
  • Documents all inspections, maintenance, and repairs in a maintenance management database system.
  • Orders parts and materials needed for maintenance/repairs.
  • Provides training via self-paced readings, labs, and on-the-job training to individuals in the performance of ground maintenance duties.
  • Utilizes maintenance training management database systems, to track maintenance training progression and qualifications.
  • Uses and performs operator maintenance on tools, special tools/test equipment, Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (AGSE), and Peculiar Ground Support Equipment (PGSE).
  • Performs shift “All Tools Accounted For” (ATAF) inventories and attends all hands Foreign Object or Debris (FOD) walk downs to maintain standards that comply with FOD and Tool Control procedures.
  • Maintains and accounts for all batteries in the inventory and assigned to aircraft and GSE.
  • Requests and receives aircraft materials from the supply system and ensure applicable technical directives have been complied with prior to installation/use on aircraft.
  • Prepares, reviews, and updates aircraft maintenance forms and records.
  • Uses common measuring tools, measuring gages, alignment fixtures, and special tools.
  • Ensures that all related maintenance operations are conducted in a safe manner.
  • Other tasks, duties, and responsibilities, as directed.
