BGS is searching for an E-4B Ground Support Equipment Technician to join the team in Offutt AFB, NE.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a customer-facing role
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with working as a maintenance mechanic on combustion-propelled material handling equipment such as forklifts
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with E-4B/747 platform
TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years’ related work, Bachelor, etc.)
Responsibilities:
- This position will be responsible for maintaining ground support equipment and systems of various complexitydirectly supporting the E-4B aircraft by removing, replacing, repairing or upgrading components.
- Troubleshoots problems to isolate faulty components, and replaces faulty components to return equipment to full serviceablecondition.
- Conducts complex functional tests by operating equipment and using appropriate test equipment.
- Performs a variety of inspections as required by equipment maintenance documents.
- Documents maintenance and inspection actions as required.
- Resolves problems for less experienced technicians.
- Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
- Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
- Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
- Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
- Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
- Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
- Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
- Oversees training.
- Works under general direction.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
