Description:

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for an E-Commerce (Front End) Developer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Mexico. Description of project: Collaborate to assess and repair site errors affecting eCommerce performance, specifically the Shopify shopping cart. Fix performance issues affecting speed/loading across devices and browsers, especially on mobile. Depending on the customer, various site assessment and testing tools are available. You must interpret with the project team the issues that testing uncovers and possible technical solutions. The team: there will be the lead developer working under the project lead(s).

Requirements:

  • 5+ of recent professional experience.
  • A high degree of communication, including maintaining a change log, using Slack and Google Drive to communicate progress, ideas, etc.(using Zoom or Google Meet for video).
  • Significant front end eCommerce experience.
  • Expert Shopify technical knowledge.
  • The cloud platform: AWS, Google Cloud, and potentially others; existing applications.
  • Tech Stack: Ruby/Rails for Shopify, Shopify app ecosystem, Klaviyo, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute development changes on eCommerce sites.
  • Test dependencies and site performance with each change to ensure performance benchmarks are met.
  • Build new sites (limited scope—smaller end clients).
  • Integrate apps into end-client sites.
  • Optimize sites to accommodate ecosystem changes (e.g., advertising partners, traffic sources, tracking partners, etc.).
  • Participate in and contribute to strategic brainstorming for problem-solving.
