E Construction is now hiring for an Asphalt Plant Labourer for the upcoming 2024 Construction Season! The Labourer will provide physical labour support to our Asphalt plant, ensuring that the plant and grounds remain organized, and able to operate efficiently.

QUALIFICATIONS | REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
  • Previous experience within the road construction industry is preferred.
  • Physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.
  • Knowledge of Loaders and Skid Steers.
  • Asphalt Plant specific training provided.
  • Must comply with the Company’s drug and alcohol testing policy.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely unload hot oil form the delivery trucks.
  • Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
  • Inspect and grease asphalt conveyors, and ensure equipment is functioning properly.
  • Shovel asphalt and other plant materials.
  • Use loader or handheld tools to remove excess materials from the Grizzley.
  • Operate front end loader, skid steer or other heavy equipment.
  • Perform plant maintenance and repairs, including welding tasks.
  • Perform set up and take down of plants at different job sites as required.
  • Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, sub-contractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
  • Work with Safety Department to investigate damage, incidents or near misses in the worksite, and ensure proper procedures are carried out according to the Company’s Safety Program.
  • Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the well being of others.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
