Description:
Wood is recruiting for a E&I Technician Commissioning (Oil & Gas) to join our team in Perth, WA. This is a local and permanent role to join our expanding Oil and Gas Operations team, due to recently securing several large projects with existing long-term clients in the LNG industry. This is an opportunity for a professional looking to move from the FIFO lifestyle and into a local position that provides work and life balance.
Wood’s Operations Australia / Asia Pacific (West) business delivers engineering & brownfield modifications, operations & maintenance, procurement, construction, asset management and optimization, and technical services to the Oil & Gas sector - with long-term partnerships supporting the region’s most prominent producers located in the Northern Territory, Western Australia, and South-East Asia.
You will be reporting directly to the Construction & Commissioning Manager. To be successful in your role, you will have prior commissioning experience in the Offshore LNG, Oil & Gas sectors within an EPCM engineering environment with both onshore and offshore scope of work engagements.
Your scope and responsibilities will be:
- Creating access workpacks
- Input into construction feasibility studies for the project
- Chairing constructability reviews
- Providing inputs into schedule and estimates
- Coordinating with personnel offshore

Suitably qualified in Engineering from a recognized institution, ideally you will have a trade background in Electrical and Instrumentation although a tertiary qualification will also be considered along with 7+ years field experience within the oil & gas industry, preference would be currently working in a similar office-based role (Engineering / EPCM office).

- BOSIET / OGUK Medical (or equivalent
