WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO YOU BRING?

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Education, Training & Development, Information Technology, Instructional Design, Professional Communication, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years of directly related work experience in e-learning development and classroom teaching/training experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of adult education principles, methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Sound knowledge of available learning technologies, including Learning Management Systems, and experience with e-learning authoring, creating storyboards, quizzes, and multimedia applications.
  • Proven experience working with Adobe Captivate. Experience working with software including Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Articulate Storyline, and Microsoft Visio is an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and integrating graphic, audio, and video files into e-learning modules and publishing SCORM-compliant e-learning content.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to deal with a diverse client base and proficiency in Microsoft Office and other related software.
  • Must have or rapidly acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders including disability accommodation and accessibility requirements pertaining to passengers and employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops, implements, evaluates, and revises (as necessary) a variety of digital, blended, and in-person learning and development programs for TTC-wide and department-specific needs.
  • Develops strategies for corporate e-learning and blended delivery initiatives. Promotes innovation and continuous improvement in the use of digital and blended learning technologies by following industry standards in program and service design and delivery, and leveraging emerging and current technologies and learning resources.
  • Provides expertise and consultation on training opportunities and leadership concerns.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements employee career development strategies and career counseling for TTC employees.
  • Provides communications expertise in designing and facilitating tailored content for corporate and department-specific needs. Collaborates with stakeholders on designing and issuing internal communications regarding learning and development resources.
  • Responsible for treating passengers and employees with respect and dignity and ensuring the needs of passengers or employees with disabilities are accommodated and/or addressed (within their area of responsibility) per the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders so that they can fully benefit from the TTC as a service-provide and an employer.
  • Participates in the TTC Customer Service Ambassador Program.
