JOB DESCRIPTION
I am looking for a bright, dynamic and professional EA to join a University College as EA to the President. Based in the grounds of a beautiful college in Oxford, this role is truly varied and can be seen as the glue that holds the running of the college together.
The college President is in charge of overseeing effective operation of college. This involves looking after governing body’s meeting, committees, charities and generally shaping the future of the college. As EA, you are in charge of making these things a reality.
Responsibilities:
- Administrative and secretarial support for the President, including diary management, travel arrangements, expense claims, correspondence (including drafting all routine correspondence) and filing.
- Organisation of a number of College events, such as talks and recitals, receptions, large and small-scale dinners etc.
- Organisation of the President’s invitations to a range of events including dinners, talks, receptions, and guest nights, and all associated administration. (invitations etc.)
- Liaison with Fellows, College staff, students and Old Members, on behalf of the President.
- Secretary to a number of College Committees, including the drafting and collation of committee agendas and papers in liaison with appropriate staff and drafting Minutes of meetings.
- Secretarial support for occasional periodic reviews of aspects of the College’s work.
- Liaison with the Clerk to the Governing Body.
- Occasional secretarial assistance for the Vice-President and Dean.
- Assisting with planning college freshers week; I.E planning academic sessions, collections and other events.
- Some HR & Recruitment support to the Domestic bursar when necessary
- Ad-hoc projects
