WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Early Career Civil Engineer for our New York, NY office. Be involved in projects with our Civil Engineering Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients’ objectives and solves their challenges. Please note this posting is NOT for a structural engineering position . Please refer to the structural engineering postings for those with structural interest.

Your Impact

  • Design and drafting of highway, and urban roadway and site projects
  • Design and drafting of underground utility networks
  • Development and review of construction cost estimates
  • Development of technical memos and other professional communications
  • Work with a variety of clients to develop unique and cost effective designs
  • Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills
  • Assist in design using various types of CADD design software
  • Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis
  • Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimatesAssist in collecting and maintaining project documentation

  • Who You Are

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or related degree.
  • 0 to 1 years of relevant post education experience.
  • Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills.
  • Background in drafting software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.
  • Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products.
  • The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Recent graduate or May 2024 Graduate in an accredited Civil Engineering, or related, Undergraduate or Graduate program.
  • The successful candidate will have 0-3 years of internship experience in Civil Engineering.Experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and drainage software.

  • Compensation and Benefits:

    Expected Salary: $55,400 - $91,300
