Prudential AI Lab is a newly set-up initiative and team under Prudential Singapore but with global scope and responsibilities for running AI Product incubation acceleration program, enable group wide AI experimentation and AI Product innovation.
The Ecosystem Lead plays a crucial role in building and managing relationships between the Prudential AI Lab internal Prudential stakeholders and Local Business Units (LBU) and external ecosystem participants that include startups, higher education institutions, regulators, research institutes, and government agencies.
The role also involves continuous internal engagement with Prudential’s Local Business Units (LBUs) to source problem statements, AI Product ideas and teams to participate and go through the AI product incubation process.
The Ecosystem Lead will be responsible for external ecosystem engagement and outreach to recruit external teams and experts to participate in the AI Lab’s work and be part of the incubation program. The lead will be managing a junior resource supporting engagement and communication activities. The ecosystem Lead will be reporting to the AI Lab Programming Head responsible for day to day AI Lab operations.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the AI Lab’s ecosystem strategy, build impactful partnerships, and drive the adoption of cutting-edge AI solutions within Prudential and beyond. The Ecosystem Lead will play a key role in fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation, contributing to the success of the AI Lab and AI Incubator.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

External Ecosystem Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key external AI ecosystem participants in Singapore as well in key external markets leveraging the Prudential Group connections and resources.
  • Identify and engage with relevant startups, higher education institutions, regulators, research institutes, and government agencies
  • Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing between the AI Lab and external partners.
  • Negotiate and manage partnership agreements and MOUs with external entities

Internal Engagement and Problem Sourcing

  • Actively engage with Prudential’s LBUs to source problem statements and ideas for the AI product incubation process
  • Schedule and support program lead in regular engagements e.g. workshops, meetings, and brainstorming sessions with LBU teams to identify potential AI solutions.
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders e.g. Prudential comms, to promote and manage the relationships and support AI Lab success
  • Promote the AI Lab’s capabilities and success stories internally to drive engagement and participation.

External Ecosystem Participation

  • Drive external ecosystem participation in the AI Lab’s innovation cohorts, and associated events
  • Support identification and invite external experts to serve as advisors, speakers, or mentors for AI Lab initiatives
  • Facilitate the onboarding and integration of external teams participating in the AI Lab’s programs
  • Manage the flow of information and external participants

Engagement and Communication Support

  • Support the AI Lab’s overall engagement and communication efforts
  • Contribute to the development of marketing materials, case studies, and thought leadership content
  • Promote the relevant AI Lab at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote its work and capabilities
  • Collaborate with Prudential’s marketing and communications teams to align messaging and branding

Team Management

  • Manage a junior resource responsible for supporting communications and marketing activities
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to the junior team member
  • Collaborate with the partners on engagement, marketing and comms activities

Reporting and Collaboration

  • Report directly to the AI Lab Program Head, providing regular updates on ecosystem engagement and participation
  • Collaborate closely with the AI Lab’s technical and program management teams to align ecosystem activities with overall objectives
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the AI Lab’s strategic roadmap

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in partnership management, business development, or ecosystem engagement
  • Network within the AI and innovation ecosystem, including startups, academia, and government agencies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
  • Experience in managing and mentoring junior team members
  • Familiarity with AI technologies and their applications in the insurance industry
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling business narratives
  • Passion for innovation and a drive to position Prudential at the forefront of AI in the insurance industry
